i was there last weekend..for 2 days...bad bad bad....ZERO bluegill. and 12 crappie in two days...NO cat, *Usually get a couple to hit my jig...NO drum! wow...and only a few striper.
whatever reports your seeing, unless SOMETHING drastically has changed in the past three days....It's NO BUENO!
Fish cleaning house at the resort that was packed full should not be EMPTY like a ghost town at 7pm at night....and it was...NO one cleaning fish. May is the new April this year boys.
and....this was my 30th consecutive year going.......
Smitty----don't get me wrong...I'm wishing things were different, actually headed back friday morning...BUT...once again...weather......and BIG changes....I'm setting my expectations low and just going to enjoy the time.............good luck. (oh...and there is a tournament there this weekend I think too....Friday and sat????)
Ill be heading down to Reelfoot next weekend. Got a guide set up with Kirk Palmer. Really looking forward to it. Unfortunately it looks like its supposed to rain all 3 days im there. Maybe the bluegill will be biting at that time too, we will see!
Chance LIKED above post
We fished reelfoot 10th-15th. Caught them in lily pads out of Kirby pocket first day. Caught 6 and lost at least that many dipping minnows. Spider rigged the rest of the time. Had the best luck early morning on the upper basin in 6-8 fow. Most of what we caught were big uns just not many. Cleaned 9 on our best day
