Way to go DK. No better feeling than showing young folks how to catch crappie. Passing it down is what we are supposed to do, and you do it well. Good post, pics, and a cute little girl got to enjoy some good eating!

I just got back into fishing about 5 years ago now. I started out Green Carp fishing, but I always had a passion for crappie fishing, thanks to my late Uncle Hoot, who took me fishing just about every weekend on Weiss Lake. I wanted to get familiar with Chickamauga Crappie. DK was kind enough to take me and jog my memory as to where to look for them, bite detection, presentation, boat position and many other nuances of crappie fishing. I am great-full. Hopefully I can pass what little I know along to someone else that has a interest in the sport someday. Now I have boxes of soft plastics and Lite Wire hooks numerous rods and reels and a plethora of support equipment. Thank You DK for further enabling my crappie condition. Look at my schedule, I'm off Wednesday and Thursday...
'Jesus answered and said to them, “Go and tell John the things which you hear and see:
The blind see and the lame walk; lepers are cleansed and deaf hear; dead are raised up and poor have the gospel preached to them.
And blessed is he who is not offended because of Me... Matthew 11:4-6

There is nothing better than taking someone fishing who truly appreciates it.
Those are the ones I like fishing with the most.

Pm me if you want a tailwaters trip to WB. After missing the fall and late winter fishing because of the insane water flows, I want to maximize the artificial bite for Stripers Walleyes White bass Smallmouth bass and other fish while it lasts. I’ll get back to crappie fishing after the spawn and when it gets difficult for most to find the specks.
