I drove by Chickamauga yesterday and the outlook for short term fishing from my perspective was grim
The lake is very full - very muddy and full of floating debris including some large logs that would ruin your day in a heartbeat. I would guess that the lake has risen about 8 feet in the last two days and the current in the channel is really ripping based off the speed of the floating debris.

I saw some out of state kayak fishermen. I felt sorry for them. They were trying to fish but I was hoping they made they made it back to the ramp safely.
I told my wife that it looked too rough and dangerous even for me in a 18 foot boat let alone a kayak.

Here is to hoping things get back to normal in a few days.
