Thread: Short trip on the river

Some time after the calendar flips over every year, You have to make your first trolling trip. Sometimes its a hit sometimes a miss so yesterday was a miss trolling anyway. Sailfish and put in and dropped the lines at 1000 by 1100 We had 1 keeper. We talked that in the last hour not the first boat had come up or down the river. That means everyone is somewhere catching. ( 12 trailers in the lot when we launched) We put the trolling stuff up and away we went. After about a 2 mile ride we located 10 boats in a 1/4 mile section. We pulled up to one of our favorite spots with down and side imaging looking and found them. Took a while to figure what they wanted but we finally put 8 keepers in the well while tossing back 15 shorts. Most the other guys were float and flying. Two oclock got there too soon and we had to leave. Bear Trax purple passion and Bluegrass BG;s showed out the most on 1/16 and 3/32 jigs. So much fun we forgot to take a pix. Well till next time.
