    I understand what you're saying, but if that were the case don't you think we'd be seeing 5 pounders all the time coming out of ponds?

    SO if you shot a 55pt deer on a guided deer preserve, it should not be recognized?

    From what I have heard or overheard TWRA biologists talking( I was with Jam when he was presented the State award for biggest crappie) It is even harder to grow fish in a pond to record size. They said they would jump at the chance to study the pond itself to see what kind of habitat is there. No matter It's in the books. One super young man has the record.
