GUILTY. AS. CHARGED. I've got a certain way I love to catch 'em (deadsticking deep brush)...if they don't cooperate with that, I go hungry. Read about these guys trolling/long-lining and CANNOT IMAGINE. Grew up trolling for Walleyes and Northerns in Michigan/Canada and cant even IMAGINE trolling for crappie!? I've got a lot to learn.

That's a HUB CAP you've got in the picture!!!! Beautiful fish!

Trolling for crappie is how I learned. It can be hectic, but it can also be a blast if you get in them good. If you’re in the Knoxville area, I’d be happy to take you some time (assuming I ever get the chance to get out). Trolling for crappie is definitely an experience.

    Good job finding them.
Thank Gene. I’ve always been a troller, but there’s definitely nothing like feeling that thump and hauling em in. Still love both, but I’m definitely becoming a fan of single pole more and more.

Appreciate it my friend. Would LOVE to take you up on that sometime. I, like you (sounds like), very rarely have time to make it to the lake anymore...even sold my boat to provide some cash flow on a building project we've got going on. When we get done (hopefully just before turkey season-ish) I'll give you a shout. I'm in Cleveland now, but building up towards Athens.
