THANKS, think i'll build some, I need all of the help I can get.
Yes, there are enough stalks in each bucket. I usually put 4 or 5 per bucket and spread them out after I put the quick Crete in the bucket. Shake the bucket to level the concrete and then just add water. This allows crappie to not only suspend over or to the side of the bamboo, but they can easily get down in it when conditions move them to bury in cover. Rarely do I ever hang a jig and break off in them.
They last for years. The leaves will come off but the canes will last a long time since they never see any air. Crappie love vertical cover and they can get behind a single cane and think that they are hidden from the baitfish. Grin.

So what do you use your drill and screws for? I'm interested in learning how to make some.
At the bottom of the canes, I drill a small pilot hole and then put screws about 1/2 way in so that it can grab onto the concrete. If you don't, the canes might possibly come out of the concrete if a jig was caught in it and enough pressure was put on it. I had a friend had the scare of his life one day when he was fishing a bamboo hotel and didn't know it was bamboo and one of the canes came straight up out of the water in his face and he said that it nearly scared him to death. Grin.
