Default Friday the 13th crappie 2018

Leon and Christopher came down from the mountain at Grandview to fish for crappie with me today. I sent them home with 14 really nice crappies. The fish are beginning to get in a neutral or negative mood and it may because of something that I said. They may be ticked off at me. Lolol.

The only colors that we caught fish on were Lights Out and Green Thunder with GT having a slight edge over the LO. We found the fish 15-20 feet deep on stumps and rock piles.

Water temp when we started was 83 and it was 86.4 when we finished. We fished from 7-11 AM. It got hot out there. The bonus fish today was a little Smallmouth bass with a big attitude. He hit my jig on a 15 count as I was presenting the jig on a pendulum swinging drop. Those who fish with me know what I’m talking about.

Friday the 13th seems to be lucky for you, not so much for the Crappie. I am catching them deep also, and it is getting tougher with the dog days of summer coming on us. Good catch.
