    Default Old Hickory?

Thinking about trying Old Hickory lake for the first time ever. Just a weekend trip from Indy. Never seen lake before, any info or fishing reports lately about the lake? Any info is greatly appreciated. White crappie or black crappie, depth to maybe start searching or maybe technique. Thank you in advance.

Haven't crappie fished old hick in a month but I've seen guys long lining deep brush piles. I've seen spider rigs doing the same and shallow. And I've seen guys hitting every laydown and tree with minnows and jigs. And everyone I've talked to has been catching fish. It's that time of the year when you can catch them however you want

I'm a bit late here but I have fished OH for 3 years now. I do well in Spring on rip rap and brushy banks in creek arms.

I can't catch a crappie to save my life in heat of summer though on OH. I've tried major creek channels, drops, bends, etc mostly in the cedar creek area. The fish should be there in summer but I can't find em. Recreational boating gets very heavy too and it's a narrow lake so it's tough to find a wake free zone w deeper water in summer.
