Default Draw down on KY Lake

What's going on? We are a foot below normal pool based on TVA lake level chart and TVA is slowly drawing the lake down more.

TVA and the Corps of Engineers I am assuming are trying to avoid the floods we had in May 2010 and May 2011. Guess they are a bit gun shy. They must be seeing a lot of rain in the forecast in late April and early May. That's about the only logical explanation for it.

Can't launch my Jon boat when water is low. Inconvenient.

Its same in our area as well

Flooded bad about this time last year, and water running over everywhere at all our area lakes.
