The pond is normally 8' deep/ down +5' with little left and has fish. The weed line is where the water usually is.
I'm concerned there will be a fish kill if we don't get a significant amount of rain. One or two days isn't going to cut it. The 10+ lb. snapping turtle and a doz. or so painted turtles are going to have to find another water lacking something to eat. I haven't heard crickets at night in over a month.

Even deer that I see almost every morning can't drink due to the steep banks. Most likely they've found streams and farm ponds that aren't dry. So strange to see them crossing the road in broad daylight most likely looking for water. Plus, I've never seen so many dead deer lying alongside the road that were hit by cars.

We have finally gotten rain here in SE Ohio this past week. On lake (174 acres) that is nearby is so low the boat ramp is dry. Ehd has hit the deer herds in some counties hard. Rain and snow predicted today and tomorrow. I hope y’all get some relief soon.

We went thru this last year. Saltwater intrusion was the worst we have ever recorded. There was Sharks where we Crappie fish.
