    Default Hummingbird Side Imaging

    Guys,
I am thinking about getting one of the Hummingbird Side Imaging Sonar/GPS combos. Has anyone ever used one. Wanted to get some feedback.

    Default HB 997c SI

I just got one two weeks ago and I think it is going to help me alot. Well, come to think of it, Sunday, it helped me pin point a ditch in a place I have fished for years. I always wonder why the fish held there but couldn't put the whole picture together with my Lowrance 522C which I still use it in conjunction with my 997SI. With the 997c Si I saw the whole ditch and fish holding in it and was able to catch some crappie out of it. I hated spending that kind of money on it but in the long run it is going to help me be more productive on choosing my fishing spots, pinpointing structure, baitfish and fish. But of course it will be up to you to make them bite. Now, the Gps is a little slow to update but I just take a little slower approach to my target and once I get on it I mark it with my 522C. Also, it takes a little playing with it to get it setup but it is not to hard to do. I hope this helps.

I have the 797. Great tool. I wanted the 997, but did not fit my budget (797 did not really either, but I had to have it). You will not be disappointed.
