Welcome to the upstate, those two lakes get the lest reports on CDC. Can't help you with Keowee only fished it one time but I know of some good crappie that has been caught there. I would definitely consider dock shooting there. Hartwell, fish all the inlet rivers backwater, bridges and docks. You will find some standing timber and lay downs in you searching and brush piles. The crappie are running to the banks in the afternoon or at least they were before the 4'' + of rain we had. The Keowee leg of the lake has many places that are good fishing. My suggestion would be to buy a lake map and do some homework because it is a big lake and has many pockets that you may pass by without looking at them.
