Default Great day with Uncle Remus 3-6-23

Met up at 7:30 Ebenezer Park. Got on water around 7:45 and found fish in the mouth of Big Allison. We got several good perch out of that stop, and as they moved on us, we started looking again for another school. Had an unusual incident with the trolling motor it lost the signal from the head unit and remote.
It took a while to figure that out. I had to pair the remote the head unit as if we're a new remote. We made several other stops catching fish everywhere we went. We had 3 crappies and 48 magnum perch. Water temp was crazy 64 degrees, but that was near the output side of the nuclear plant. Wind was a bugger on the pontoon. It's hard to stay put. Thanks to my fishing partner for a great day. I truly enjoyed it. We saw several other cdc members out enjoying the day also. I know everyone had a good fishing day. Here is
    our catch.

yea, passed the Big Dawgg twice, going out and coming back in to fix a small transducer problem ourselves. But got back on water pretty quick and headed up into Little Allison . Wind did pick up pretty good, but couldn't tell if it was Mother Nature blowing or Ofishlbizzness just jabbering in front of us.

My remote has done the same thing. When trolling all of a sudden I noticed the remote wasnt working so I just unplugged the trolling motor and re-plugged it back up. Everything went back to working. It has happened to me 2 or 3 times. I have a "newer" remote from Minn Kota than the one that came with my tm (obsolete). Congrats on a nice catch.

We did the unplugging and sit a while and restart and even broke the circuit from batteries. Remus threatened to throw my remote in the river last week. It is HD touch screen, it's my second $400 dollar remote and I don't need it to be going Kaput on me now. I could scroll the screen but had no functions. I got it to pair the remote after a few attempts. Just glad to get it back up and running. The TM is a 2017 Ulterra 112 LB thrust. I surely don't want to be without it on the pontoon. It does good most of the time in the wind as long as the toon is facing into the wind. I may need to upgrade but that's a costly thing to do right now.

Check to see if the remote and/or the Trolling motor needs a software update. I use the FishSmart app thru my tablet's WiFi to check and do the updates. I have the Linked Ulterra with the touchscreen remote also, but it's a newer model than yours. Humminbird has a new app, the One Boat Network that will do the same thing, but I haven't used it yet.
