    Default Back on the Water

Finally healed enough to get back on the water. Had skin cancer removed from the back of my hand. 17 days of no fishing was brutal. We found fish on brush but they were not aggressive. Managed to catch 50 and kept 16. No big fish this trip. Majority of throwbacks were 9 1/2-9 3/4. Water temperature 82-84. Cleaning them the stomachs were packed, looked like Mayfly’s and small worms. Seeing mayfly’s you would think darker color jigs would be good, but that wasn’t the case. Ice Out and Glacier was the best colors. Reflecting back it was a great day with my Sweetie. She didn’t out fish me for a change. Not that she didn’t try, I kept a total caught, she kept up with what she caught. She caught 21 crappie 1 perch and 1 bass.

Glad you are getting back to normal. Skin cancer is my next fear got an appointment to get checked out July 6th. I know I got some on my ears, nose and arms. I need to get some of those skin covers for my exposed skin when . Sounds like you and the lady got into some good fish. I need to watch you'll and learn some tricks. Good report and I'm glad you back at catching!

Glad youbare back up and running, I've had several spots removed on neck and face. Our generation wasn't told to protectant ourselves from the sun and we are now paying the price. I hope to be back on the water in a fewxweeks

I been wearing fishing gloves for about a year but apparently about 60 years too late. Been wearing the AFTCO open palm and half finger. Don’t even realize they are on.

Good to see you back on the water. Removal of those places can take a while to heal.
