    I did that twice, third time I put plastic slides on. I think it's easier on the wood, the wood can dry out faster. Boat slides on easier.
    I replaced lag bolts with counter sunk carrage bolts, washers and lock nuts.
    I also found side cutters worked better as you can see what you are pulling

    I bought Teflon slides off of Ebay and put on my pontoon bunks. My bunks were rotten after 3 years from buying boat new. Hopefully they will last longer being able to dry out. Boat loads and unloads so much easier also.

    Well got it all done Thursday afternoon late forgot to take a pic before I put the toon back on , also got the new turn lights on it too..

    Once I got them wet loaded hell a lot easier then it ever has..
