    Default Wylie Cats 2-2-22

My friend and I went after the cats last Wednesday at Wylie. Started at 7:45 am and fished around Northend of BB bridge by anchoring and tossing out mushy shad, red worms, and the Melhorn special. Caught 3 channel cats by the pilings and cars would honk at us as they crossed the bridge. Current and wind became too much so we moved to Gus island. Caught a big blue cat there on my refined santee rig. My friend didn't catch a thing but had something that nearly pulled the rod out of his hand. Unfortunately line broke. Water temp on my Hummingbird smart cast device varied from 39-47 degrees

Sounds like you guys had fun. Sounds like some cats were biting. That one youre holding up looks like a good 'un. Congrats.
