    Default Goodbye 2021

Another year gone. But we got in one last hooray. Met up with brother at Ebenezer and set off for a last Nitestalk of 21. After the cold weather where we caught fish in 45-50 fow we set out in record breaking temps. Water 56 when we splashed. Enough of a wind to keep us off the open water. So our old standby Torrence Creek was the ticket. Only 3 boats came through all evening. But figure this out. Brother anchored in 40 fow. He caught plenty of fish. We went on in and got near a brush pile in 18 fow. Bite wasn’t a fire drill but enough to make it fun. My boat caught 40 or better. Kept 26 for couple folks that asked for some fish. Several over the 1-2 lb. range. Early out as lightning was showing up. 9:15 we pulled our rocks and headed in with rain starting. Good plan again. Bout time we pulled out the gate bottom fell out. Had a great last nite out for the year. We gonna do more Nitestalks coming soon. If you want to try something a bit different come on out to the dark side! Only took one picture so I wouldn’t get busted by the photo patrol ! Name: IMG_2055.jpg

Sounds like you had fun, I hadn’t nightstalked in 25 years. I’m a morning person, I get sleepy when it gets dark. Nice Picture Fish.

Hate I missed it but with no crew I didn't like pulling anchors on that pontoon by myself. Everyone had something to do but that's fine. I have had more than my share of night outings. Glad you'll caught lots of fish and some with shoulders. Maybe next time I'll be able to pull a crew together. Happy New Year to the gang crappie slayers!

That looks like a hoss he's holding. Sounds like fun and getting out of there at the right time too. Congrats.

Great to see your report! I figured since you retired you stopped fishing since you never post any reports! Happy New Year!

missed you last night Big Dawgg, we had a great last nitestalk for 2021. I'm scared to go back out now, don't know if I'll ever get on them that good again. But what the heck 2022 is a new year and it's always fun trying. Be safe and see you at the next outing
