Hmmmmm....I wonder if bananas will help bring bigger deer to the deer stand.
Put out some brush, and eat
bananas in the boat.

On Wylie I’ve had great success with it. Norman not that good but my location choices on Norman I think could have been better. They fish different and that makes it fun for me.

What would you said you’d have done differently on Norman? I live 60-70yds from the lake but would rather drive to Yadkin or Wylie lol.
I’ve noticed brush on Norman not holding fish at depths (as reliably) that it does on other lakes with the same general conditions. I’m trying to make myself wanna stay home and fish more, but it’s just hard to when you can drive an hour-hour and a half and have exponentially better fishing. That said, certain parts of Norman seem to fish differently and hold better fish. I’m not sure why that is.
I like deep brush that I can fish year round so I sank the Bamboo a little too deep at Norman. Wish I had put it in 22’ instead of 25-28’. I make mine 10’ tall. Also closer to the River Channel instead of back in the creeks channels.

Hmmm oddly I find that 25-28ft stuff better than 22'. That said, I found and have fished one recently thats 50FOW with current lake levels. I agree about the proximity to the main drag. I can take you to a couple that are in 20-24FOW that hardly ever hold fish. One surprises me as it's not really tucked back into a cove or anything, and has plenty of water, and the general area as a whole is fairly productive. Boo is nice and neat, easy to make up and bunch and drop a few at once if you bundle them, but the ones Ive dropped, I lost when my old unit was stolen. At the time, 10-12yrs ago, I was broke and couldn't afford to get another unit to find and fish them lol
