    Default Wateree Stripers?

Anybody seeing any stripers caught? They were starting right before I started deer hunting but should have turned on with the cooler weather. This weekend is probably filled with hunting still but might go next.

Hopefully Remus and I will make down to Wateree next week also. I have been hunting way to much and the deer need a break from me!

Gun season opens up here in nc Saturday. Missed a nice 8 point with the smoke stick two weeks ago. He was a piece out but I thought it was doable. When I checked yardage with rangefinder after the miss, it was 232 yards. Bit far for my 30 year old muzzleloader. lol. Tough for me to get out during the week. It gets dark about the time I get home. May take Monday and Tuesday off to hunt. Yall keep culling them till I get a chance. Big Dawg you use a gun or just jump down on them with a knife!

Went out last Friday. The weather is cooler but not the water temp. Good surface temperature @ 60. However when we pulled bait up to replace or move it was extremely warm. Found bait on bottom but no schooling activity at all.
Caught 11 before the wind blew us off the lake. Never had more than one on at a time. We need a good solid week of some cold weather to get them going. Surface temp climbed to 63 out in the channel. Just my opinion but I believe the best is yet to come.
