    Default Frustration

Today was a little frustrating, been doing good for a couple weeks for numbers and size. Nothing I could see had changed but today the number caught and the number of keepers was about half. Fish just weren’t aggressive. Usually the first 2 or 3 cast in the best spot is key, today it took as many as 10 cast to get bit. Got humbled today, but still enjoyed fishing. Next time will be be!! Fingers Crossed. Maybe CK can vouch how tuff it was.

Yes I can. Nice to meet you again out there today. Only kept 15 tossed back the same. I had my son in law and grandson with me. When I have someone with me not familiar with jigs I bring minnows. We fished jigs at first and pretty tough. I could see Danny getting frustrated. We saw lots of crappie every where we go but they would not bite.

I was catching some with jigs and that was with changing profiles and color. About noon We started to tip a bare jig with minnows and was able to what I call force feed them.

Definite kind of day that you had to go to many structures just to get some. Doug I will be out Wednesday to see if the bite is better.

Danny did say he never would have thought there were so many fish that did not bite. That's Live scope. You still have Figure out what the want it is not automatic.

The catfish bite was the same way. Hardly any cat bites. However, the perch were on fire at a couple of spots.

Even with fishing the old saying falls true. Sometimes youre the windshield and sometimes youre the bug. Thanks for the reports guys.

Yes the front was coming in, that’s usually when I do the best. I hate the tail end of a front. Only excuse I had was cloud cover. And that’s a weak excuse. I been fishing sunny days. Finding a good excuse always makes us fishermen feel better. I’m feeling better today, licked my wounds and planning the next attack.

The cats wouldn't bite! I been killing them til yesterday! If you are fishing the way I fish for crappie...sunny days are better, not as good on cloudy days, I'll tell you why one of these days, right before a front like that they will be on fire most of the time, not yesterday?????? The cats bite good before the front too, but not yesterday! Now the perch bite good!

I did not check the dam report wonder if they were pulling a lot of water. Heavy current might can cause less active I do believe for crappie. Catfish most likely different.
