    Default Santee?

Well any of you that have read many of my post know I love crank baits for crappie. I usually pull on High Rock. Me and the wife are headed down to Santee in the morning for the weekend to do a little fishing. She of course wants to striper fish and I want to crappie fish so we will do some of both with a little catfishing thrown in. Any tips are appreciated for any species but especially wanted to see if anyone has tried cranks for crappie on santee here. Staying at the canal fish camp on the diversion canal. Thanks for any help. Hopefully will post some pics next week.

Did ok on stripers yesterday. 5 in a couple minutes of hours, but nothing on the crankbaits at all in the 3 hours we pulled them. Today tried to get back out to main lake but the waves were coming over the side of my boat. Lol. Roughest I have been out in in a while. Managed to catch one before we gave up. Pulled cranks in the cove for a few hours but never found them. Tons of bait though.

We were in that big cove that comes out right at Randolfs landing. Last big cove on that side of the lake. Not sure what it is called. Found the stripers right on the main lake at the mouth of the cove in about 25-28 fow about 18 foot down. Tons of bait but no crappie.
