Default Lake Wylie 9/24/21 " Hard Day At The Office"

Started fishing at 9:30. Stayed in the creeks. By 12:00 had only 4 in the live well. Throwing the usual's Bobby Garland, Bonehead Tackle and hand ties. Fish on the piles and laydowns but really picky. They would come to the jig follow it but not bite. Black Crappie general are more picky than white Crappie. Said to myself something has to change so went to small profile jigs. Pulled out Cutbait's small two tail plastics and game on. He gave me some to try. Also tossed at them Panfish Assasin and they ate those. Just about anything 1.5 inch or less was what they wanted.

Caught them on my favorite single 5.5 foot ultralight pole with 4 pound test using 1/16th or 1/8th once jig. Fish were suspended at 3 feet down to 25 feet. Was fun tossing at a school suspended at 5 feet and were 25 feet away from boat. Right arm is sore from all that casting but was a nice day on the lake.

My limit of 20 went home freezer is empty. Clicker said total of 37 landed in the boat and 17 went back for another day. Two 12 inch and rest were below 12 inches. Tough fishing but glad was able to get some picky fish to bite. Had a lot of bites missed. I either was not paying attention sometimes you can watch the screen too much and not the line or had those short strikes.

O yes getting that last one for 20 was the hardest of them all. lol

Guess I will have to go one day before deer season opens and see it you left any! I might even try one of my own jigs.
Good fishing day you had CK and hope you get more in before it gets to cold for Live scope to work. LOL
