    Default santee crappie

looking for some advice on crappie at lake marion. upper and lower. i grew up trolling for crappie at lake wateree in the spring. I've heard of fishing grass patches and cypress in the upper and I'm going to try that in a few weekends. is trolling the lower portion of lake marion pretty successful when the spawn is active? any advice on upper and lower lakes will be appreciated!

Been years ago, but we rented a guide and went catfishing one day and crappie the next. Never will forget it, he pulls up in 2 foot of water fishing mussel beds for the cats and 15 fow fishing over grass beds for the crappie. I told him that we did it just the opposite back in nc. Shallow for the crappie and deep for the cats. lol. but they do fish the grass beds for them a lot. interested in this post as well. Me and the wife are going down next month for a 3 day weekend.
