Tried trolling with small crankbaits & crappie jigs in Beaverdam this morning. Did not get any hits at all. Ran back out on main channel & tried spoons for perch. Finally, caught enought to bait hooks for 1 drag. Got 1 blue about 12 lbs. Ran up to mouth of crowders creek & caught a bunch of small perch. Started back trolling for cats again. Got 5 more cats before it got hot at about 10. Loaded up & headed home.

Glad you were out and catching something. I think I'll bring the grand kids out one day next week and see if they can pet a kitty. Last time out they put the hurting on some perch. Hard to get them out from kid stuff they got going on. Cost me near 30 bucks to feed those boys two weekends ago. Then drinks later in the day!. I don't spend that much on Remus and minnows.
Thanks for the report it's a good to know for the future trail and error trip with three grand kids 8, 11,13 year old's.
