    Default 7-30-21 report

CJ, Lucas and I met at South Point Landing around 7.
Hit the water and went up South Fork to the bridge. Lucas caught the first fish about 5 mins after getting anchored.
Then another one, then another. Then it died. Caught a few shorts after that. Stayed there for a bit and then moved down close to the mouth. A few more dinks.
CJ had some engine trouble and trolled in. I tried to get him to let me pull them in but I think they may have trolled and fished on their way.
They got to the ramp around 1am.
I stayed until 2:30 picked up a few more dinks. Didn't keep any thing to bring home.
    Zero perch found.
I think the best crappie was 11 1/2" caught by Lucas. He's a fish catching machine. Fun watching him gett'em.
All in all a good time was had.
Once CJ gets a new water pump on we will do it again.
We just couldn't find the water size or numbers. Total fish caught that I know of was like 15 or so.

Thanks for asking us to join you, Neil. We had a great time.
Yeah, that first fish was a nice white crappie. First one i ever saw in wylie. I let a good one get away while trying to get his line untangled.
I've got a couple of items on order. But for now I've got it fixed. I'm still going to wait to get the factory parts in. Name: 20210730_200918.jpg

You'll did better than me. I was in the recliner watching the back of my eyelids! Yeah, Lucas is going to be a great fisherman. I just don't want him to learn bad habits from you'll letting fish get off. How deep were you and color of water? Maybe next time I can get a crew and join in with you. Good job Lucas! Oh and you'll too!

Lol. Thanks, BigDawgg. About 30 ft next to a bridge piling. Clear water about 87-88 degrees.

We used to catch the whites regular around seven oaks and South Fork river area. I guess they stay in the upper end more than the lower. I think a couple of the dinks last night were white crappie. Hard to tell what a 3" crappie is...lol
