Don, have you ever caught herring on sibiki rigs at the towers? We used to and the stripers would tear them up!
There’s a distinct difference in the color of a just caught herring vs one that’s been in a tank for several days.

No I have never tried the subuki rigs I bought some many years ago but to easy to go to bait store and buy herring. I usually go to jc's in the morning and get herring and leave from my house. I am going to try going the day before and get them and leave in bait tank overnight. Never tried this in the summer.

Ice 'em down a little bit during the day. Park the tank in the shade. They'll be alright.
