    Default Wylie Sunday

I usually stay away from the water on weekends, but my son wanted to go, and I'm glad we did. Only 2 crappie, but he got a triple hook-up on perch. Made it worth the trip right there. Just thought I'd share with y'all.Name: 20210711_202419.jpg

Great picture of Lucas! I bet he was a happy camper getting that big tug. That little house in the back ground is the give away. There is another place on Wylie that looks like it. Glad you'll made the trip and had some fun.

Oh yeah. He was happy. That was quite a surprise for him.

Y'all did better than I did Saturday night. I haven't been able to find them last 2 times out.
Only caught and released 4 catfish. Good eating size but I wasn't wanting catfish. No Crappie or Perch to be found.
1/4 mile upriver from South Point Landing. Guess I should have run down river...lol
I still had fun getting some alone time and down time from the house projects.
Maybe be fishing to deep, but following the bait. Unless my electronic are telling fibs.

The crappie we found were in open water near channel about 6ft down. Perch were in same area about 20ft down. Don't know if that helps. Lol.

Good job. You can tell your son was really having fun! Great memories.

Yes, gabowman, he did enjoy it. He loves catching fish. Doesn't matter what it is. He pulled in a yellow perch, spotted bass, and a 10-lb channel cat today.
Thanks, BigDawgg, for meeting us. Maybe next time we can do some fishing together. And we both thank you so much for what you did for Lucas. That was awesome.Name: 20210712_211456.jpg

You are welcome! Glad to met up with you and Lucas. I wasn't going to fish but Delbert told me he would go. Del had 23 perch, 1 bass, 1 crappie and two catfish to take the ride home with him. I just noticed in your picture you got lights on your boat in the back?

They are pretty scattered right now. The last couple times out I've found fish south of South Point in 20-25 FOW and about half way down the water column. There is a ton of bait hanging around flats that are adjacent to the river and creek channels. Unfortunately, that's where the Pontoon Parade, jet gnats, and wake makers are too.
