    Default Wylie crappie 6/21

Took my son out today and nabbed about 10 crappie and a decent bass. Only kept a few. And thanks to no one for responding to me asking for help learning new ways to catch crappie.

Many times I would have been happy with that catch. Doesn't look like you heed that much help, just more time on the water.

I hate to say it but didn't see it and don't know why I didn't. I do know that in the off topics not everyone is use to it yet! We use to post where your report is everything and everyone had more of a chance to be seen there. But some folks didn't like looking though a bunch of post to see if any fish were being caught somewhere else in the state. It has been mentioned that CDC is not what it use to be with posting. So being that I'm sorry! But you caught fish and that's a good thing. Bass folks that look on here will be mad you kept one of their tournament fish! LOL But those crappie look pretty good. Try to keep up with us when we have our get togethers and come out and meet up with the folks who dare to go on Lake Wylie day and night! You'll find a good group of guys and gals that fish there often.

Ranger, thanks for the reply. But I'm interested in learning different methods, things I don't know, or might be doing wrong.
Dawgg, I may be new here, but I remember them days, too. I used to read a lot of posts here. And that was my son who caught that bass. Can't tell you how proud I was that he was patient and didn't try to force it in the boat. I've lost a lot of fish that way. We're out there 2-3 times a week. Maybe we'll run into each other one day.

Wow. Pretty "BOLD" comment from a newbe. What are the new ways you wanna learn? Is it drop shotting jigs on brush? IS it spider rigging out the front of the boat? Is it longline trolling? A person could sit and write (type) for an hour and still not cover everything on those subjects. I'd suggest you begin by asking the questions to the answers you want. Then go from there. And dont try learning EVERYTHING at once. Congrats on your catch and welcome to the boards.

Just so you know, gabowman, that post was up for quite a while before making that statement. Nothing bold about it. And I'm not trying to learn everything all at once. Just looking for new ideas or anything that anyone is willing to share on the water. First- hand experience is best. Thank you.
