Crappie Report 6-14

I know I said I was through for the year but it's hard to quit fishing when the fish are biting as good as they are and the Good Lord gives you such a beautiful day to go fishing.



Water surface temp 83* at daylight. Light to no winds. Didnt take long for the fish to find my jigs. I knew once it hit 80* I'm out of here so I got lines in the water at 6AM and planned on fishing until 9:30AM so when it hit that time I pulled lines and started packing up to go home. And as you'd know it I was sweating bullets by the time I left the ramp with the AC going full blast with the truck reading 83 degrees.

It was another fun and stellar morning as far as I was concerned. I saw two bass guys in a boat beating the banks this morning and an older man in a jon boat jumping from dock to dock......and that was it! No waves to contend with, no skiers, or wave runners either.

Anyway, lots and lots of little fish today. Here's the fish I kept for on-the-bone...


and these went under the fillet knife...



And here's the final tally for 3 & 1/2 hours on the water this morning.... (70 caught & 18 kept)

Great sunrise pic!!! That's the best part of being out there IMO. Looks like you smoked the fish too. Congrats on a great trip.
