    Default Lake Wylie 5-13-2021

I met up with Uncle Remus at Buster Boyd this morning. We hit the water around 7 and fished until 1. The water temperature was 68.9 degrees this morning. We ended up with 26 crappie, 4 white perch, 4 catfish. All caught on tight lines with minnows The wind picked up and the captain took the helm to runthetrollingmotor.. So that left me to man the rods 6 on the stern and 6 on the bow. I wore my sneakers out running back and forth! The captain was enjoying the show!!! 8 crappie and 1 perch followed me home for dinner. Thank you for another great day on the water!

The wind was cooking here yesterday so I can imagine what the boat was doing on the lake!! Congrats on the catch and thanks for posting the report and pictures.

Good job catching fish. But looking at your picture you didn't train not one crappie out of all those to read the paper!
Thanks for the report Craig! You musta wore Uncle Remus out.

Your trip shows what I been seeing. I can catch 60-100 fish and only get 12-15 over 10 inches. Seeing a lot of 9 inch fish. Caught one yesterday that was 4 inches. Wish we had a 10 inch size limit.

Ten inch crappie are good eating size. Ole biggins give good fillets but don't eat near as good as a small crappie. JMO
