    Default Wateree report

Water looked ok. A little muddy but not bad. Temp at 59 so had high hopes. Tried everything. Pulled alabama rigs for striper, crankbaits for crappie, and jigs for crappie and still have not seen a fish. Never saw anyone catch a fish. Even a couple of catfishermen we talked to said they had not caught any. Tough day.

Sometimes it take a day like that one to humble us fishermen. Stay after 'em. It is fixing to get GOOD!

Sunday the striper bite was decent, very good size 6-8 pounders. Even had a school come up at 630. Lower lake. Ditch the Arigs and pull live shad.

Pete would have a heart attack if he saw that statement. lol. I use to pull shad for them too. Still do on occasion but wife hates catching them so we usually just pull the a rigs. May have to give them a try. Thanks bio.

Think I am going to give the cats there a try. My wife loves to catch them as well. What depths should I target this time of the year for the big cats? I am guessing they are starting to shallow up as well?
