There is a ton of Russell reports on the SC page from nightstalking, spider rigging and longlining. Do a search on Lake Russell. Can be a hard lake to fish from one day to the next but Russell holds a very good crappie population but it does hold more tress's than Carter has liver pills! All of the feeder creeks have good fishing when the bite is on but fishing can be different from one creek to the next. Like I said it can be a hard lake to fish. All the creeks from Hartwell Dam to Russell Dam are fishable but only a few can be longlined because of the trees. Cold Water and Beaver Dam would be two to try out but ask before you go and we can fill you in on how to fish the creek you pick because of trees one doesn't fish like the other.
