Thread: Santee Cooper in Jan-Feb

Just a curiosity. I already have a trip planned to a new to me lake this year for the end of this month. But, how is Santee during the cooler months? I know there are a lot of variables, but on average is the fishing decent? Deep water cover and structure as a rule produce best?

Drop down jigs but they seem to only want minnows sometimes at this point in the year, there is also the 30+ foot pools but never tried them.
