Great report Mr. Charles and thank you. Hope you get back on them and get some more. I want to go but now I got work in my way. LOL
We made it down to wateree chasing stripers this morning. Put in at colonels creek without any problems. Tried out on main channel from colonels creek without any bites. Moved down river toward clearwater. Drifted on river channel edges with live shinners about 12 to 20' down. Water was pretty stained.
We ended up with 15 stripers & 3 cats. Missed a good many more stripers. Loaded up about 1 for the trip home.
Have some pictures but can't get them over to computer for some reason.

Glad you got some nice fish.
Thnaks for the report. I heard they put a dock in at Colonels, is that true? I haven't been down there in years
No dock at colonels creek. However, the state is building a new public landing just above colonel creek. They have a big area cleared off. Probally, be a long time before it opens. Sure will be nice.
Saw a while back and was wondering what is was, going to have bathrooms. Is it going to have camping also? Thought they might build a dock towards the bridge.
Duke Energy is building that as part of their new relicense agreement a few years back. It is supposed to have a ramp, bathrooms, swim area, and a recreation area. It is going in quickly! Duke also did the new pier at Wateree Creek.
Duke is also going to begin construction on a bladder dam for Wateree in 2022 and the lake is going to be low low for 12-18 months, I just hope they extend some ramps before the major drawdown.
Duke is also building a white water course below Nitro Lee dam. They are supposed to completely draw down Dearborn early this spring and construct some wing walls to create the flow.
They also are putting in a recreation park at the Wylie dam.
Expect some high energy bills!
Yeah it looked like a beach area and you could see restrooms in a few places, yeah rates are going up.
I found the huge rock straight out from the ramp at Colonel, luckily I was using the troller, big motor hit the rock, no damage. I don't think the ramp is long enough for the pontoon to launch. I seem to be able to find all the short ramps. Thinking I should add a crane on the front of the toon to lift the trailer back on the ramps. :-)
glad there was no damage. Water pretty low right now?
