    Default Which lake

Wife is headed to Texas for a few days and I have the boat to myself.
Been wanting to try Lake Monticello for years, but also want to go back to Wateree.
Which lake would you guys suggest?
Let's add fishing Creek in the mix.
    Never been there before either.
Looking for eater cats, crappie and or large perch.

Monticello for all of your request. Only thing is you'll have to find them since you never been there. Google Steve Comalander and look at his most recent Monticello videos. He will not tell you where he is fishing but you can pick up on a clue or two. Mostly how deep he's fishing is a major helping hand. The other lakes are clearing up but not something I'd go for for at least a few more days. Monticello does not get muddy but water rises and drops there from the power plant use. Good luck if you go. Give us a good report.Which lake

Fished Monticello Wednesday and Today. Fish around the Loons and Gulls in 55-65’ of water. Double Slider rig worked good both days. Drop to the bottom and reel up 10-12 feet. No bite drop back. Cast Master Jigging Spoon worked good too. Catching quite a few bass also.

I usually catch them in 30-50 feet but for some reason they are deeper.

Got a non mentionable deer Wednesday morning. If I had played the cards right it may have been a bigger deer but you never know until it gets put in your face. I'm going to give it a couple more trips and if not anything bigger I'll fold and get the boat back in the water.
Hope you find them this morning. Good luck!
