Default Any Hartwell or Russell Reports?

Has anyone fished Hartwell or Russell lately? I am hoping to finally be able to go soon. I do not have much experience crappie fishing in the fall, typically when I have it has just been single pole on brush piles or at night under a bridge with minnows. I have really got into long lining, will long lining still work in the fall? Any tips?

On Russell there are lots of bait on top halfway and farther back into the creeks. Pay attention to your graph to locate the depth of the fish and yes, longlining can and will work if you present your jigs down where the fish are at. Not sure what the latest rain has done to the lake but I was catching fish in clear water before this round of rains. I wasn't catching limits but I was bringing home good messes to eat fishing late afternoons. Good luck.
