    Default Wateree striper 11-2

Few weeks back at the social at HR, met up with a few guys that were very interested in my method of striper fishing. After talking for weeks, Mike (aka "team Rookie") finally set the date for a run to wateree for a half a day.

He and Cathy got a true experience on what to look for since this was my first day on wateree this year, and havent heard any reports to amount to anything.

Well we picked away at them all morning in less than ideal conditions. Full moon, heavily stained water, clear skies and wind.

Once all said and done we wound up with 15 striper and 4 cats and headed in right around noon. Mike says he is ready to sell off his bait tank and cast nets. No need for any of that any more!

Absolutely enjoyed it with you 2 today. Thanks for being such good "students".! Wateree striper 11-2

Anyone else interested in learning how to catch them without needing live bait, let me know. It will only get better the next few weeks!Name: Point%20Blur_Nov022020_125220.jpg

Great report Pete and the pictures add to a successful day! Yes, we tend to not listen and get in trouble often. But we are good Dawggs to have around. This report makes me want to give up my deer chasing and go fishing.

Hey, that's my deer you sneaky rascal! Good job, he is a dandy of a deer.
Pete, you are right I may as well go fishing. These deer do have me pegged on the clear cut I'm hunting. I got no way to get to my stand without alerting them to my presence. Here's another picture of a different deer and time of day! I'll get one soon if I stay with it. The rut is kicking in and one will slip up!
