    Default Afternoon Trip 10/7/20

Today was my "Friday" at work and I get off work daily at 4PM. I work a 5 days on and 3 days off schedule. So.....Got home and checked my trolling battery since I havent did anything with my boat in.........months. Also fired her off to make sure she'd crank. Since everything seemed to work well I decided to fish this afternoon so I hitched 'er up, grabbed a cold drink and headed that way. Fish bit good longlining in 15'-18' of water. Sometimes had 2 on at a time and once had 3 on at one time. Temp was 75.5*. Water was clear. Plenty of bait balls and seemed to be plenty of fish hugging bottom under the bait. Fished until 7PM and called it since I was gonna clean fish this evening. Lots of fun catching since I haven't fished since May of this year and I'm really forwards to some fresh fried fish soon. Here's what I brought home....

Nice catch Butch thanks for sharing. Looking forward to my first trip if things get settled down some. I had to go to the VA yesterday and have a heart monitor installed.

That’s awesome! Glad you got a chance to go! I switched to a Monday-Friday from shift work about a year ago and ever since it’s been hard to get opportunities to fish like I would like. Glad you got a nice mess so fast!

Very nicely done. Well Butch, it's gettin' to be the time of year when a man doesn't have to worry about dying of heat exhaustion tryin' to catch a mess of fish.
I am prepping my boat to get after 'em hard... and before it gets so cold and windy. Thanks for sharing your day with the rest of us.
