Got on lake 8:30 and stayed in one creek. Started out with single short pole vertical jigging over a brush. Crappie coming to it and looking but no bites. I said not this again something has to change. They follow it up but no bite. Made a change went to Slab slayer black and chartreuse. Got away from brush when it was 15 feet on the back side. Pitched the jig with happy sauce and let it fall into them when it got to the top of them slow roll through them. Game on. Went to other brush same presentation but just change colors. About 10:30 a yellow and white BG knock off was the hot jig. Kept 20 and culled some of the 10 inchers. Had to leave them biting. It is rewarding to change up to get them to bite.
