    Default Monticello 6-18-20 & Wylie 6-19-20

    Monticello
Fished hard for perch & cats Thursday morning. We did not mark much of anything at any of the spots we tried. Ended up with about 20 small cats & 15 perch.

    Wylie
Did pretty good with the perch & bass Friday morning. It was hard to find a good empty spot to fish. Some kind of high school tournament going on. Watched one of the tournament kids doing pretty good at one spot.
Ended up with about 60 perch, 5 cats & several bass. Most were caught in about 28'.

We had an osprey come down & grab a perch that was hanging over the side of the boat. That was a big surprise. Almost took a new rod & reel when it took back off. I thought my buddy had fell in the water. Osprey even came back & grabbed the perch when we threw it back in the water just about 15' from the boat.

I would have like to caught all that on a camera.

Nice report Charles. I have seen the old fisherman hand feed the Lunes seeing that Osprey do that what a sight that would be.

Good fishing Mr. Charles! Been waiting on a report from you, thanks for giving it! We had one of the Ospreys circle and dive on a fish the other day behind the pontoon. It is amazing to watch them pick a fish up.

Was on lake Murray a few weeks back caught a striper that was under the 21 in mark. Had to release him. He floated back up and I netted it to try to revive it. It swam away the floated to the surface an osprey garbed it and took it to its mate in a nest. Was happy to see it not wasted it fed the chicks
