Good morning on the water. Fished in Big A & down on main channel. Caught most of our fish down around the mouth of Big A. Minnows(large & small) were the bait of choice today. Went thru about 3 dozen large creek minnows real quick. I could not get any hits on plastic worms or spoons except for some perch.

We ended up with about 15 bass & 45 perch. All the bass went back up grow bigger. We did have 2 bass that were about 5 lbs each. These were first big bass we had caught this spring.

Good to talk to Crappiekid this morning.

Had to leave early to bale hay.

Well you've confirmed what Steve Comilander demonstrated in Monticello. Multi species run together. I've yet to catch more than a 12" bass when perch jerking but they are there. I might need bigger minnows.
So those arches you see aren't just perch. It's Crappie, Perch, Bass, Catfish and who know what else. On Murray it's also Striped Bass.

    Don't forget the floating nets!
    They suspend around 20 ft
