    Default Lake Wylie 5/14/2020 Perch Jerk.


    Wife said she wanted to catch perch with a jerk or go perch jerk I get confused.
    8:00 in the water fished the first point nothing going went to second point moved around and got into some small schools. They were running better in quality. Wife had two big perch doubling up.

    Caught all on redworms. 10:30 died down so went back to the first point just caught a couple decide to go home. Kept 23 perch and one crappie on a brush pile. last 3 times out catching some perch but not hot yet. Usually first of June they school big time. Water warms in 70's look out. Perch 20 to 30 feet.

    Crappie is 10.5 inches so you see some nice size perch. Maybe this year will have more big perch.

    Glad you and your wife had a good trip. I will be glad when they school up more too. Worms are the trick aren't they. Messy but work good when you can sit over them and pull them perch in one after another. Thanks for the report and great pictures!
