    Default 05-11-20 Windy again!

Just can't get a good day for us to go fishing at all. Uncle Remus snookered me into another fishing trip with no trouble at all from me. We met up at Big Allison ramp at 7:43 am and began our search of white perch or what ever would bite. Didn't take long for me to figure out I needed to have brought my big coat. But I stayed focused and went on anyway. After an hour of trying to get ghost fish to bite we moved a little further down the lake and spent another hour or so just to have only a couple of fish, the only thing we were catching was gust of wind around 20 to 30 mph with a steady breeze of 15 mph. After hashing out a new plan to go to an old spot that always produced fish of some sort we packed up and went with the thought of if they ain't there then we'll go. Well it did the trip and had probably should have started there first. We hung in there and managed to get 71 medium to average size perch with a couple of jumbo size mixed in. Certainly made our day but took to long to find them. All I can say is that Uncle Remus hasn't lost the touch for finding fish, again he had me 5 to 1 before I could get anchor locked. Windy days aren't too bad if you find fish but I am wind burnt to the bone it feels like. Didn't feel like doing the report until this morning. I need a vacation from this wind and rain crap! Only one picture for Brett! Remus had some glitches with his call dropping lightning fast phone of his. Thanks Uncle Remus for taking the Dawgg fishing again!

I'm essential, been working hard at it. Pulled extra shift on Saturday evening no overtime for us you know. I will be working this weekend morning shift or I would be there. Now! Saturday would maybe be different! You'll catch a bunch and be careful.

Anyone saying they weren't chilly in that wind I would say they be a little crazy! Didn't feel that bad until I was in the wide open. Long sleave t-shirt just not warm enough for the long haul like we did. Hope Norman was good to you.

Had a great day, limit by 10:30. All 10” or better. Then caught some 12 and 13 inch fish I had to throw back. Caught over 50. Name: IMG_2080.jpg

    Good job Dawgg.
I like to chase tiny crappie in brush all over the lake lately.
Game warden pulled me over and just laughed.
