    Default 5/9/20 Report!

Well guys, it aint over yet! Hit the water about 7:30AM looking for shellcrackers. After about a half hour of having NO LUCK I put out jigs and started catching fish. So...….I stuck with what I know an left those brims alone.

Fished in 10-12' of water all morning catching fish randomly on the flat, with keepers coming about 1 out of every 3 caught. That said, I did keep me 6 smaller fish to scale and eat off the bone as that's my favorite.

Water temps at 63* this morning and I was fishing stained water with visibility around 8"-1' deep. With the two white perch caught the clicker said 77 fish caught and had 24 crappie in the 'well. I was surprised and happy to find those fish in the box. It has been about 3 weeks since I had last fished due to work. With back pains Ive been having for the past couple days I called it a day and was back on the trailer at 11:30 AM.

BTW, that flat was full of gars. I bet I lost 15 jigs to 'em today. I gotta get me an order in before I run out of jigheads! Here's the shot of the livewell today…..

Way to go Butch. That's a nice mess of fish in anybody's book to be sure.
I hope the back problems are short lived... 'cause I understand back pain.
I had to go to a Chiropractor before I got any relief. Thanks for sharing.
