Should be. After all, it's almost May!

I’m no shellcracker fishermen, but this has been a weird year. Shellcracker started into the shallows a month back, only to have the lake drop and move them back out. I’ve only heard sporadic good reports since. Most experienced shellcracker fishermen that I know believe they will get back to bedding this next full moon.

We fished 2 boats in the woods out of Stumphole Tuesday. We didn't catch any shellcrackers, very disappointed. We just couldn't find them.

We did run up to Broadwater. It was real muddy and it was running right fast also thru the swamp. We did stop at the campsite, repaired the picture pump, replaced both leather washers in it, and it pumps like new again. We could tell that other campers are really using the well and pump that Steve put in a couple years ago. Glad to see people seem to like it. It sure would be nice to be able to get the water back right and put in some time back there. The last 2 years, it's been flooded most of the winter months.
