Size: 52.7 KBJust heard some terrible news...Barry Dye passed away yesterday. He was 58 years old. I don't have any details about services as of now. I have a lot of fond memories fishing with Barry & the Alabama gang...Barry was not only an avid fishermen, turkey hunter...he was a fine Christian man that I had the pleasure of knowing. His hospitality and southern manners reminded me of some of the finest men I've known. I am sure his wife, daughters, & family are devastated. Please pray for them and his friends during this time of loss. I will never forget his kindness to me, the invitations to eat at his mama's house, and the fellowship we shared. RIP Barry...I know you are with Jesus...one day we'll sit on another bank and talk again. If anyone hears the details before I post, please share with the board.

This is surly sad news. I enjoyed many conversations with Barry on the lake and at the Crappiefest over the years and I agree that he was as fine of a man as I have ever met. RIP my friend and I'll be seeing you again.

Sad news. And a SHOCK! That's about the last thing I expected my wife to tell me when I got home today. Prayers sent for family and friends. He will surely be missed.

I will try to post a story he wrote about his nephew’s first turkey. He and I shared a love of Nash Buckingham’s writings and I told him he was a great story teller like Nash...I’ve read it twice today...
