Good to see you were able to get on the lake for some fast action!! I know it was good for the soul.

I don't doubt that those guys told you that DNR said they had to be from the same household or that DNR told them that either. But I think their is some confusion somewhere as I have seen two post on FB by DNR that don't go with this. In fact, I believe the officer may have combined the two. One post said that LE(DNR, sheriff, police, ect.) had been directed by governor that they were to stop and disperse any groups on more than 3. The second one was in relation to families of more than 3. That response by DNR was that larger groups could be together if they were from the same household. Honestly I don't think anyone knows exactly what the law is as it's obvious the governor was clueless on how to fix the lake parties.

Welcome to the board.
I sent you a PM also.
I think you are correct . After speaking with other DNR folks I understand that they are not checking boats with only 2 people in it. The more in the boat the more likely to get checked.
So now to see if I can sneak a trip with my other buddy Tom.
What I really want to do is take my boat with Tom or Harry helping out.
