They can close the public ramps but not the lakes.
If you're rich like Big Dawgg and have a place on the lake, you can keep fishing.
    Maybe I'm wrong?

And also all my local water supply smaller lakes that I use! Never more than 3-4 boats launching at the same time. Bummer

In this case , you are wrong. The 16 state lakes are closed to ALL access. I dont have a list but they do not include lakes like Wylie, Greenwood , Wateree..etc. Also, Hartwell and Russell are federal lakes. Not under the jurisdiction of SC Gov as far i understand. So access is not closed at this point. Clark HIll is probably the same too.

It’s so funny they(the state) complain about pleasure boaters and knuckleheads and then they close the state lakes which mostly are small and have motor restrictions lol. Places where fishermen and law abiding citizen usually go. Haha. Like lake thickitty. Ain’t nobody pontoon partying and sandbaring on a small lake like that. People maybe on the bank but come on! Or Draper. My gosh. The government has completely knee jerked this whole thing.

On Lake Russell; how about the ramp on the Georgia side (highway 72), would that be open provided the Georgia Gov. does not issue the same directive? I understand if true - will be busy!
    Thanks!

Lake Wylie is supposed to be closed for public boat ramps. Even said so on the news. That being said people are still putting in at Alison ramp. Law enforcement should be more involved by posting signs so people know

I understand the thinking behind closing the ramps. However there is limited bank areas to fish therefore very limited number of people can fish with a 6-10 foot spacing.
That said is the State going to extend our fishing license for the time we can't use them? We pay for 12 months looks like we'll get 10-11 months use. Not a big deal for me in NC since I have a life time lic. BUT I pay $35 a year for my out of State lic in SC. I'd like a refund or an extension.
    Just saying
