Default Funny how things turn out

Today was supposed to start my most anticipated fishing trip of the year. We were to leave at 7AM for our annual trip to the Florida Everglades to fish for Oscar and Bream.
I was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in January so my life has kinda been on hold since then.
Then the Covid-19 hit and kinda put everything on hold. My friends pulled the plug on the trip last week amid uncertainty of what stores and facilities would even be open. Roland Martin's Marina Resort could not say if the stores or restaurants would be open, including the bait and tackle store.
So now the trip is in Limbo. It's possible they may decide to go in late fall even though we've not done that before.
Of course if they do, there's no guarantee I'll be able to go.
After 6 weeks of chemo I feel fine, just tire easily. Still have 3 weeks of treatment left before they do scans to see how tumor is responding to chemo.
After that comes the great unknown. Whether I make the trip this year or not, one thing I do know.
My God of 2nd chances has given me another chance to make the trip. Whether I do or not isn't up to me. Of course it never was, so I'll place my faith in my Creator's hands and I'll not wonder or worry about tomorrow.

Glad you are doing better! It was bad news in 7 months for my mother once she was diagnosed. I wish you a full recovery and many fishing trips!

Ray, I know how you feel also. I feel like I'm on borrowed time my self. But Steve and I are planning on going tomorrow just to get outside.

I am right along with you fellas. Thought I was doing okay but found out different. I fished murray this morning for a couple hours and did nothing. Got home and was so tired I fell asleep in my chair. My jump starter hit me so hard it woke me up. Felt like I was hit by a 2 by 4. Not fun at all.

Our prayers are continuing for all of our brothers that are facing these scary challenges in their lives.
